PREPAYMENT POLICY


A full prepayment is required at the time of your reservation. When making you reservation online or over the phone, you must have a valid American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa credit or debit card available. You must pay the full amount to hold your reservation. There are no exceptions!



CANCELLATION POLICY


There is a $5 cancellation fee PER TICKET if reservations are cancelled 24 hours or more in advance of your trip. You MUST cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance for a PARTIAL refund. If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled departure time, there is NO REFUND whatsoever on your tickets. There are no exceptions! Cancellations must be made over the phone so call (719) 685-5401 if you have any questions or would like to cancel your reservation.



TICKET PICKUP POLICY


Trains begin boarding 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Therefore, tickets must be picked up at the ticket window NO LATER than 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. You will need your confirmation number and last name to pick up tickets. Tickets not picked up 20 minutes before departure will be considered a "No-Show" and will be cancelled and sold to standby passengers. If you know you will be late, but will still be in time to catch your train, you MUST CALL the ticket office to arrange to hold your tickets; otherwise, they will be cancelled. TICKET CHANGE POLICY


If you would like to change the date or time of your trip, you must do so no later than 24 hours in advance of your scheduled trip. You cannot change your trip online; you must call the ticket office to make any changes. Tickets are moved on a space available basis – if you wish to move to a train that is sold out, you will need to choose a different time. If you have any questions or wish to make changes to your reservation, please call us at (719) 685-5401.



GROUP POLICY


Group rates begin with 25 or more confirmed passengers. For every 25 tickets, one complimentary ticket will be given for a tour guide or bus driver. For your convenience and leisure, paid groups are pre-ticketed and seated together. Train times are subject to change without warning. A full prepayment, via check or credit card, is required 2 weeks before the scheduled departure time. Group tickets are available for pick up the day of the scheduled trip. Tickets must be picked at least 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time. We generally recommend that the group wait on the bus until the group leader has picked up the tickets and is able to pass them out to individual passengers. The trains begin boarding 20 minutes prior to departure – be sure to allow enough time for group members to use the restroom facilities. Minor changes to the reservation (i.e., group size) can be made upon arrival.



HIKER POLICY


SORRY- DUE TO EXREMELY LIMITED PARKING AT THE RAILWAY, WE DO NOT ALLOW PARKING FOR ONE-WAY TICKETS OR HIKERS!  ALL PARKING IS FOUR HOURS MAXIMUM! If you are OK with this, please proceed~ One-way reservation must be made by phone. If you make a full-priced and what you assume to be a one-way reservation online and do not pick up your tickets AT THE DEPOT, your tickets will be cancelled! One-way hiker rates are only available on the first and last trains of the day; hikers wishing to ride at other times will be charged the full-price round trip ticket fare. Tickets are available for pick-up ONLY on the day of your scheduled trip. If you have properly paid and reserved, and plan on meeting the train on the summit or at Mountain View, the conductor will have your tickets on the train. You must arrive 20 minutes before the train leaves your designated pickup. If you plan on riding the train from Mountain View to the Summit and back down to Manitou Springs, you will be charged a round trip ticket fare. YOU'RE TICKETS ARE GOOD FOR YOUR RESERVED TIME AND YOUR RESERVED TIME ONLY.  These tickets cannot be transferred to a different departure time.  If you have any questions, please call (719) 685-5401. KEEP IN MIND-Trains may be cancelled unexpectedly due to weather, track or other unforeseen issues.

AGAIN ~Sorry; there is NO hiker (or Incline) parking available at the Cog Railway. Due to the extemely limited availability in Ruxton Canyon, ALL parking is limited to FOUR HOURS MAXIMUM!

There is a 4 hour parking limit. Cars left unattended after 4 hours will be towed.

If you are hiking and using the train, we recommend using the Barr Trail parking lot (advanced reservations only here OR use the free Manitou Springs shuttle.
