The Cog Railway will run a
Santa Claus Special Train twice a day (10:30am & 1:20pm) on
Saturdays and Sundays in the first three weeks of December
2008. The dates will be
6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st December, 2008. We may add additional dates
later.
The Trip:
The round trip will be 2
hours in duration. The 10:30 departure will return at 12:30 and the 1:20
departure will return at 3:20.
The trip will go halfway up
Pikes Peak to Four Mile Siding. The Santa Claus Train
will NOT go to the summit of Pikes Peak. Santa and Mrs. Claus
and their elves will be on each train with your
children.

At Four Mile Siding, the train will layover for approx 1 hour to let
you and your children off to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Bring your cameras
to take pictures with Santa. You will be outside at 10,000
ft., so please dress warmly. The train will be there if you need to get out of
the elements.

Four mile siding is located in a beautiful setting
with a great view of Pikes Peak. Hot Chocolate and Cider will be provided along
with Christmas cookies.

On our trip back to Manitou,
Santa and Mrs. Claus will read Christmas poems and stories.

Back at the depot, kids will
be handed a small gift bag from Santa and the elves. The
cost
in
2008 will be
$18 per
person (age 3 and above).
Extremely limited seating
(70 seats available per train), so reservations are recommended. Make
your reservations early. A credit card will be required to
reserve your tickets. When making reservations, please let the ticket agent
know that you are interested in the Christmas Train.
A special THANK
YOU to the Academy Optimist Club for getting us in touch with Santa, Mrs.
Claus, the Christmas Clown, the King & Queen Elf, the Christmas Bard, the
Toy Soldiers and all of the wonderful Elves.
Please call to make reservations at (719)
685-5401. On-line reservations WILL NOT be accepted for the Santa Claus Express
trains. A credit card is required to make this reservation. You must cancel or
reschedule at least 48 hours in advance or you will be charged for this trip. We
