Santa Claus
Special

2010

 

 


 The Cog Railway will run a Santa Claus Special Train on the first three weekends in December.

The Trip:

The round trip will be 2 hours in duration. The 9:30 (if running) will return at 11:30, the 10:30 departure will return at 12:30 and the 1:30 departure will return at 3:30. The 2009 cost is $20 per adult or child (3 and over). If Child is 2 and under and sit on their parent's lap, there is no charge. 

The trip will go halfway up Pikes Peak to Four Mile Siding. The Santa Claus Train will NOT go to the summit of Pikes Peak. Santa and Mrs. Claus and/or their elves will be on each train with your children.

Please call to make reservations at (719) 685-5401.  (Do not make a reservation by e-mail.)  A credit card is required to make this reservation.  You must cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours in advance or your card will be charged. We are now taking reservations for the 2010 Santa Trains.

At Four Mile Siding, the train will layover for approx 1 hour to let you and your children off to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Bring your cameras to take pictures with Santa. You will be outside at 10,000 ft., so please dress warmly. The train will be there if you need to get out of the elements.

Four mile siding is located in a beautiful setting with a great view of Pikes Peak.  Hot Chocolate  will be provided along with Christmas cookies.

On our trip back to Manitou, Santa and Mrs. Claus will read Christmas poems and stories.

Back at the depot, kids will be handed a small gift bag from Santa and the elves. 

Extremely limited seating (70 seats available per train), so reservations are necessary. Make your reservations early. A credit card will be required to reserve your tickets. When making reservations, please let the ticket agent know that you are interested in the Santa Claus Special Train. (If you would like to be placed on phone standby for any of the booked trains, please ask to talk to one of the supervisors.  We will place you on a standby list and will call you if any one of the current reservations cancel. They are told to cancel no later than 48 hours ahead of schedule.)

NOTE 1: Please call to make reservations as we need a credit card to hold it. DO NOT make Santa reservations by e-mail for the 2009 season.
